When you provide us with names and contact information of young men you think might make a good priest, we can invite these men directly to events and provide them with good information to help them discern more diligently.[/x_tab][x_tab active=”false”]The Office of Vocations works hard to build relationships with discerners. These relationships enable us to help direct them in finding their vocations.

One of the challenges we encounter is the initial connection with young men in the archdiocese who are open to discernment.

This is your chance to help us grow vocations in Baltimore![/x_tab][x_tab active=”false”]Information collected will be used solely by the Office of Vocations to invite young people to participate in discernment events.

While we primarily focus on priestly vocations, we will never pressure any discerner into any particular vocation or decision. A vocation is a call by God which is up to the individual to discover and choose to follow, and we respect this to the fullest extent. Our invitations and events are always oriented to being open to God’s call and respecting the choice of the discerner, and we provide support for anyone seeking help discerning, regardless of the vocation.[/x_tab][x_tab active=”false”]Yes! Called by Name has been effective in many other dioceses to increase their number of active discerners. Along with other means, especially when the people of the Archdiocese help with action and prayer, we expect Called by Name to help more men to diligently discern their vocations.
