I graduated in 2012 from Penn State University with two Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Physics. After undergraduate studies, I worked for Boeing for three years doing digital signals processing. While working, I studied part time and earned a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University in Applied and Computational Mathematics. I entered seminary in August 2015 at age 25.
One thing that attracts me to the priesthood is preaching. I love public speaking, and I love proclaiming the Word of God. I get a lot of fulfillment from talking to others about the Catholic faith and sharing it with them in ways that are exciting and practical.
My favorite Scripture passage is Hebrews 13:1-6 (look it up!). At a critical time in my life, God spoke to me through these verses as I was listening to a podcast on my way to work. They give great rubber-meets-the-road advice on how to persevere in faith, and when I heard them at that critical time, each verse spoke deliberately into important issues I was facing. I even started a prison ministry because of verse 3, and God has never broken his promises from verses 5 and 6.
