Rev. Mr. Tyler Kline

What were you doing before you entered seminary?

I graduated from Loyola Blakefield in 2007 and went on to study History and Theology at Fordham University in the Bronx. After working and helping out at home parish for a year I entered Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in 2012.

What is one thing that attracts you to the priesthood?

“The idea of spiritual fatherhood is what most attracts me to the priesthood: to offer myself over freely and joyfully for the good of
others, to provide for their deepest needs through the sacraments, and to help them to appreciate their tremendous dignity as beloved children of the Father.

Favorite Scripture Passage

“…but he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10
