Before entering seminary, I was a student. I graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University in May 2017 with a bachelors in Theology. While studying there I worked as a Resident Assistant, was involved with campus ministry, and spent 3 formidable summers interning for the Vocations Office of the Archdiocese of Baltimore (a.k.a. Headquarters).
One attraction to the priesthood for me is the opportunity to walk with people in their relationships with God and to serve as a bridge for them to encounter the joy and love of Jesus Christ, both through the celebration of the sacraments and through the day to day experiences of ministry life.
A favorite quote of mine, while there are many…
“And only where God is seen does life truly begin. Only when we meet the living God in Christ do we know what life is. We are not some casual and meaningless product of evolution. Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary. There is nothing more beautiful than to be surprised by the Gospel, by the encounter with Christ. There is nothing more beautiful than to know Him and speak to others of our friendship with Him.” ~ Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
